Animation
Animating on this short was an amazing challenge. The goal was to reach the most realistic animations, without using any motion capture technology or rotoscope. Some people might not understand why we decided to "complicate" our lives by doing only keyframe, but the idea behind this decision is to make sure we keep this authentic feeling. We all felt that if we kept this artistic process, it would create a kind of "true soul" feeling to the movements. The process is long and hard, but the results have a nice "surreal" feel to it.
Layouts
In this gallery, you will find some layouts that I have worked on. My work consisted in setting up the workflow of the department, and pass it on to the rest of the team once I switched to the animation department. In these shots, I did the cameras, composition and environments. This was a very fun challenge where we had to think outside the box, since nothing had been done like this before.
